Three phase motors can be connected "Star" or "Delta".
STAR CONNECTION
Star connection is obtained by connecting together the terminals W2, U2, V2 and supplying the terminals U1, V1, W1.
The phase current and voltage are respectively:
IY =IΔ/√3
VY =VΔ*√3
Delta Connection
Delta connection is obtained by connecting the end of a phase with the beginning of the following one.
The phase current Iph and the phase voltage Uph are repectively:
IΔ= IY*√3
VΔ= VY/√3
